Book 2 round-trip flights to Hawaii, plus your hotel stay
Transfer your Ultimate Rewards points to British Airways Club at a 1:1 rate to book nonstop flights operated by American Airlines or Alaska Airlines from California to Hawaii.
When saver space is available, these flights fall within the 2,001- to 3,000-mile band, costing just 20,000 British Airways Club Avios per person one-way in economy. Taxes and fees are usually just $5.60 each way.
Two round-trip flights total 80,000 Avios, where saver availability exists, leaving you with almost 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points for accommodations. We recommend transferring your remaining Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 rate. You could book multiple nights at either the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach or the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, which cost just 12,000 and 17,000 Hyatt points per night on off-peak dates, respectively.

Book 2 round-trip business-class seats to Spain
Transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Iberia Club at a 1:1 rate to take advantage of its fantastic business-class pricing to Spain.
You can book business class nonstop to Adolfo SuƔrez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) for only 40,500 Iberia Club Avios each way from BOS, JFK and IAD on off-peak dates (peak dates are only 59,000 Iberia Club Avios each way, which is still a great deal).
Therefore, you could book two people on a round-trip itinerary on off-peak dates for a total of 162,000 Avios, which fits under a 175,000-point balance. Expect to pay approximately $250 round-trip per person in taxes, fees and surcharges, although these totals may vary depending on the route.
This sweet spot remains one of the best value transatlantic business-class redemptions, offering fully flat seats, solid Spanish flair and direct flights to Madrid for fewer points than almost any other U.S. to Europe premium cabin option.

Fly round-trip to Europe in United Polaris business class
Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United MileagePlus and book a round-trip Polaris business-class ticket to Europe. Saver-level Polaris awards from various United hubs to Italy, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Croatia and more start from 80,000 United miles each way, so you could spend 160,000 miles round-trip, keeping you just under your 175,000-point balance.
Since United does not pass along carrier-imposed surcharges, taxes and fees are modest, generally $5.60 when departing the U.S. and between $60 and $200 when returning from most destinations in Europe. However, you will pay more if you depart from the United Kingdom due to the Air Passenger Duty fee.
Start your journey in the luxurious Polaris lounges at United hubs, then fly in a fully flat Polaris seat with direct aisle access, upgraded dining and bedding by Saks Fifth Avenue.

Book a Midwestern road trip
If you don’t want to transfer your Chase points to travel partners, here’s another option you can book all in one place.
Turn your Chase Ultimate Rewards points into an all-American adventure by booking a cross-country road trip along historic Route 66. You can redeem points through Chase Travel for both your rental car and hotels along the way, combining flexibility with value.
Through Chase Travel, new Sapphire Reserve cardholders can redeem Ultimate Rewards points at a rate of 1 cent each when booking rental cars and hotels.
Depending on your route, you might find some properties eligible for Points Boost, especially if you’re passing through major cities. Sapphire Reserve cardholders can redeem their Ultimate Rewards points to book travel through Chase Travel at a value of up to 2 cents per point on select hotels (and airfare), depending on the card and the specific redemption (see your rewards program agreement for full details).
Sapphire Reserve cardholders also receive up to $250 in biannual statement credits to use for The Edit reservations of two nights or more. Plus, some of the properties in The Edit are also eligible for Points Boost, so you can stack your card benefits.
If Points Boost or The Edit properties are not available on your road trip, consider transferring your Ultimate Rewards points to IHG One Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy or World of Hyatt at a 1:1 rate.

Try your luck flying Down Under in comfort
Air Canada’s Aeroplan program charges 87,500 points for business-class itineraries of up to 11,000 miles in length from North America to Australia. This would include many options via Asia from the West Coast.
While availability can be difficult to find, a round-trip itinerary of this distance would total exactly 175,000 Ultimate Rewards points. It’s a good idea to use a tool like Seats.aero to find dates and routes at these prices and even set alerts, which you can do with a Pro membership. This way, you will be notified if anything in your price range becomes available.
