Atlanta rap star 21 Savage started 2024 with the release of his impressive album american dream. He’ll end 2025 with the release of another LP, which is coming out with minimal advance notice. Today, Savage posted a cryptic trailer for a new LP called What Happened To The Streets?, and that record will be out in just a few days.
There have been no advance singles for What Happened To The Streets?, and we don’t really know anything about the record beyond what’s in the trailer, which is not much. Savage’s face and voice don’t appear in the trailer, a disorienting montage of guns and fire and CGI babies set to an orchestral score. Pre-release pages on streaming services show that it’ll have that cover art, which is certainly a statement, and 14 as-yet-untitled tracks.
This year, Savage has appeared on songs with people like Lil Baby, Central Cee, Young Nudy, Young Thug, and Summer Walker. What Happened To The Streets? is out 12/12 on Slaughter Gang/Epic/Sony.
