U.S. President Trump posted on Truth Social in response to election results from Nov. 4, 2025, “I got rid of all the illegal voters out there, and this is how the rest of you treat me? Fine, America. F*** YOU!!!!”

On Nov. 5, 2025, the day after Democratic candidates won governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey and the mayoral election in New York City, a claim (archived) circulated online that U.S. President Donald Trump posted an expletive-laden tirade against voters for failing to elect Republicans.
Trump reportedly posted on his social media network Truth Social, “I got rid of all the illegal voters out there, and this is how the rest of you treat me? Fine, America. F*** YOU!!!!”

The screenshot of Trump’s alleged post circulated mainly on Facebook (archived). Snopes readers wrote in asking if Trump really wrote the post.
A White House Press Office spokesperson told Snopes via email the post was fake. The post did not appear on Trump’s Truth Social profile or Trumpstruth.org, an online archive of the president’s Truth Social posts, around the date he allegedly posted it. Therefore, we rate the alleged post fake.
A search of Trumpstruth.org revealed Trump does not usually write “F***” in his posts. The results that did appear in the search featured the profanity in transcripts of reposted videos or written by other users whose posts Trump shared.
Though the post was fake, it appeared real because it used the correct profile picture, username and emblems (pink check mark and white plus mark) next to the username. The person who created it likely used websites that can create fake social media posts.
Trump did post (archived) about the various elections on Nov. 4 on Truth Social, writing, “If affordability is you issue, VOTE REPUBLICAN! Energy costs, as and example, are plummeting – Getting close to 2 Dollar a gallon gasoline. When energy goes down, everything else follows, and it has!!! President DJT”
