Video of Trump kissing Clinton’s crotch was created using AI

A video authentically shows U.S. President Donald Trump kneeling and kissing former President Bill Clinton’s crotch.

The user who created the video used an artificial-intelligence tool to bring an authentic still picture to life. That still photo, captured at the U.S. Open tournament in Flushing Meadows, New York, on Sept. 9, 2000, showed Trump smiling with his hand appearing — from the camera’s viewpoint — in front of Clinton’s crotch. White House photographer William Vasta, who took the picture, told Snopes, in part, “I didn’t see any inappropriate contact there. Trump was simply signaling to others in the room to gather for a group photo that included him, his guests, and Clinton. What you’re seeing in the still photo is just an outtake between handshakes and gestures.”

A rumor circulated online in November 2025 that a video showed U.S. President Donald Trump kneeling and kissing former President Bill Clinton’s crotch.

On Nov. 16, Reddit user u/Future_PeterSchiff posted (archived) the brief clip on the r/TikTokCringe subreddit with the caption, “Just saw this drop on a Russian discord server…” As of this writing, the post had more than 88,000 points — a very high amount of engagement for a Reddit post. Moderators for the subreddit later removed the post and clip, commenting, “No Politics – Posts involving anything political are not allowed.”

A user uploaded the same video file to the Internet Archive website on Nov. 17, featuring a watermark for TikTok user @ghostofralphiemay. A check of that same TikTok account on Nov. 17 found an empty page with no public-facing videos. A screenshot from the clip also appeared in a Reddit comment.

In short, the video was fake and created with an artificial-intelligence tool.

To create the fake video, a user — a person we have yet to identify — uploaded a years-old, authentic still photo (which appears below) of Trump and Clinton into an AI tool. The user then entered a text prompt, asking the AI tool to bring the photo to life in video form, making it appear as if Trump knelt and kissed Clinton’s crotch.

That genuine picture used to create the AI-generated video showed Trump smiling with his hand appearing — from the camera’s viewpoint — in front of Clinton’s crotch. We did not locate a video documenting the same moment.

Information from Politico, Scripps News and Wikimedia Commons said Clinton White House photographer William Vasta took the picture on Sept. 9, 2000, during the U.S. Open tournament in Flushing Meadows, New York. Some of the reports also mentioned the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum released the photo as part of an album made public following a Freedom of Information Act request in 2016. Future first lady Melania Trump, then Trump’s girlfriend, also appeared in some pictures from the event.

Snopes reached out via text message to Vasta, who told us he didn’t see any inappropriate contact between Trump and Clinton, and that Trump was signaling to other people to gather for a group photo:

I didn’t see any inappropriate contact there. Trump was simply signaling to others in the room to gather for a group photo that included him, his guests, and Clinton. What you’re seeing in the still photo is just an outtake between handshakes and gestures. There was no video of this moment. Any clips circulating on social media this week are fake. They used my still image to create them. The room was full of White House staff, guests with their spouses, and family members, and everyone behaved professionally and respectfully.

Herbert Ragan, an archivist with the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, also confirmed via email to Snopes the authenticity of the photo, as well as its date, location and photographer, and shared a higher-resolution version (which appears earlier in this article) as well.

We also contacted u/Future_PeterSchiff via Reddit’s chat feature to ask whether they created the fake video, or, if not, whether they could direct us to where they first found the inauthentic clip. At least one of the user’s public-facing comments (archived) claimed they didn’t create the video.

‘Trump blowing Bubba’ email

The fake video of Trump kissing Clinton’s crotch made the rounds online amid the Nov. 12 release of around 23,000 documents related to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Associated Press reported the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform made the documents public after receiving them from Epstein’s estate.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee also released three emails, including one saying Trump “knew about the girls.” One of the other emails from Epstein to his confidant and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell said Trump “spent hours” at Epstein’s house with a sex-trafficking victim. 

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Snopes by email, in part, “The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.”

One of the emails featured Mark Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein’s brother, sending a message suggesting Jeffrey Epstein ask former White House adviser Steve Bannon “if Putin has the photos of Trump blowing Bubba,” referencing oral sex.

Some users suggested “Bubba” was referring to Clinton. On Nov. 16, The Advocate reported Mark Epstein responded to the rumor: “For the avoidance of doubt, the reference to ‘Bubba’ in this correspondence is not, in any way, a reference to former President Bill Clinton.”

Other users shared a similar AI-generated video showing Trump and Clinton at the same U.S. Open setting, in which Trump repeatedly pats Clinton on his crotch. Users reposted that clip on Facebook, Instagram, Threads (archived) and X.
