Last year, Robber Robber self-released the compelling debut album Wild Guess, which earned them a spot on our Best New Artists list. Now, the Burlington post-punks are signing to Fire Talk and sharing a great new track called “Talkback.”
“Talkback” is a zippy tune with energetic guitars and an entrancing bassline. Nina Cates’ soft intonations are an instrument of their own as she narrates the relatable feeling of a delayed retort: “But shit, it would’ve been the perfect talkback/ And the perfect moment/ Passed, passed, passed, passed.” Watch the band’s self-directed video below.
