It’s been a big year for Dijon, who released Baby in August to critical acclaim. Next year he’ll be going on tour with Zach Bryan, and this weekend he’ll be on SNL. Tonight, he’s in a teaser for the episode alongside Melissa McCarthy and Kenan Thompson.
It’s possible SNL musical guest alumnus Justin Vernon might join him, since yesterday Dijon posted a photo seemingly from rehearsal, and the Bon Iver musician could be seen in it. He could just be there for moral support though. Zack Villere is in the photo, too. That might be Nick Hakim at the keyboard — he sat in with the band in Brooklyn on Tuesday. And it looks like Mulherin in the back (the brothers have also joined Dijon onstage on this tour). The guy on his phone who looks like SNL alumnus Mk.gee is actually bassist Daniel Aged. Dijon previously tagged all touring band members including Amber Coffman (who is seemingly obscured in the photo, and the lone woman) when announcing his SNL debut.
On Monday Dijon canceled Friday’s show in Silver Spring, MD. Tonight is his third NYC show at Terminal 5 after two at Brooklyn Paramount. Justin Bieber was at a Tokyo fish market on Tuesday so don’t expect him. Watch the SNL teaser below
