Amazon Luna Cloud Gaming Rolls Out Across U.S. And Canada

Amazon Luna, Amazon’s cloud gaming service, is now available on an even wider range of entertainment devices across North America through new integrations with both Comcast and Rogers. Starting from now, Luna can be accessed on eligible Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Xumo Stream Box devices in the U.S. and on the Rogers Xfinity Stream Box in Canada. The expansion places the gaming service directly alongside traditional TV and streaming content, allowing customers to enjoy playing games without needing dedicated gaming hardware.

Prime membership users will be able to play more than 50 games at no extra cost, including popular titles such as Hogwarts Legacy and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as family-friendly experiences like Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg and The Jackbox Party Pack 9. Luna also introduces the GameNight collection, a group of local multiplayer games designed for casual play, where participants can use their mobile phones as controllers.

Amazon Luna has been redesigned to make high-quality gaming more accessible to players of all experience levels. Through cloud technology, it allows users to game on devices they already own without the need to install software or purchase consoles. Amazon describes this partnership with Comcast and Rogers as part of a broader effort to expand access to gaming across more homes and device types.

Comcast executive Fraser Stirling stated that adding Luna turns living rooms into gaming-ready environments and enhances Xfinity’s entertainment platform. Rogers executive Bret Leech noted that the integration brings console-quality games, including popular titles like Fortnite, directly to Rogers customers through its streaming ecosystem, supported by its internet infrastructure.

Want to access Luna? Do it by saying “Luna” into the voice remote and signing in with an Amazon account. Gameplay is available through Prime, a Luna Premium subscription, or individual game purchases.

Jeff Gattis, General Manager of Amazon Luna, emphasized that Comcast’s device reach supports Luna’s goal of scaling to more households.

Luna is compatible with a growing list of devices, including Amazon Fire TV and Fire Tablet models, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, eligible Xfinity and Rogers devices, mobile phones, Windows PCs, MacBooks, and Chromebooks. This announcement also highlights broader Prime benefits, such as Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Amazon Photos.

Membership pricing in the U.S. ($14.99 per month, or $139 per year) and Canada ($9.99 per month, or $99 per year) includes discounts for young adults, students, and eligible low-income customers, with trial periods available, so, enjoy!
