I saw a meme on social media today that perfectly captured the post-holiday mom vibe. It was a clip from Overboard—Goldie Hawn’s character, after spending a day with the kids, just staring blankly and mumbling, “buh, buh, buh, buh.” 😂 The caption? “Mom after Christmas.” I felt that in my soul!
Moms carry so much during the holidays. The planning, the gifting, the wrapping, the magic-making. And now that Hanukkah and Christmas are behind us, many of us are left feeling completely spent.

I’ve pulled together the top 5 post-Christmas sales so you don’t have to lift a finger. It’s time to take a breath, pour yourself a cup of coffee (or wine), and start focusing on you again. Truly.
#1 – Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale
One of the more exciting post-holiday sales is the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale. Didn’t get exactly what you wanted from Santa? (Do you ever? ;)) This is a perfect opportunity to order the jeans, the coat or jacket you’ve had your eye on, but didn’t buy because you didn’t want to pay full price.
One of my all-time favorite puffer jackets (pictured above) is on sale! This is super warm, flattering and cool. You can even wear it skiing. I also love a few dressier wool coats that really make a statement including a stunning petite (and regular) length maxi coat in burgundy and a very on-trend, winter white scarf coat.
And, don’t miss our Busbee best selling “Logan” jeans. These are next level comfy with a beautiful drape that will leave you wondering how you ever wore skinny jeans. I love them so much I own them in both black and gray.
#2 – Bloomingdale’s After-Christmas Sale
Okay, another fave retailer having a major sale (up to 60% off!) I tried to select only those pieces I really think are worth your time and also have a larger size selection.
I think my fave sale set is the splendid sweater and matching knit pants in cappuccino.
The chic and flattering, cotton poplin dress I’m wearing above is on sale in navy. Take a look at the Herno “Iconico” lightweight puffer coat too. I have several Herno puffers – Love them! (Herno runs very small. I wear a size 40 in the luxury Italian brand.)
#3 – Saks Designer Sale!
This is a great time to stock up on some forever sweaters in high quality (and warm) fabrics like cashmere.
The super thin brown cashmere sweater I’m wearing above has been a heavy hitter for me because of how lightweight it is. I pair it with either jeans or my brown wide leg lounge pants to hang out at home.
