“We wanted her to have a proper farewell for the fans she loves more than anything,” said Forster. “We’re beyond thankful to Travis Ryan and Cattle Decapitation for the opportunity to bring her in front of such a large audience. And of course, to our fellow Canadian grindcore family in Fuck The Facts who have graciously accepted the call. This will be a great celebration.”
He added: “These will be her final live appearances, but it won’t be the last you’ll hear from us. We’re working on new music, and there’s a lot more to come.”
Grindmother first turned heads in 2015 with viral rehearsal videos and the single “Any Cost,” which eventually caught the attention of Ozzy Osbourne, who tweeted her performance to his millions of followers.
In 2016, she released her debut album Age of Destruction and followed it with nearly 60 tour dates across 2017 and 2018. Her journey took her from YouTube to underground venues and festival stages, but it was her raw intensity, genuine message, and refusal to be a novelty that earned her real respect in the heavy music scene.
