Behold The Thrash Majesty That Is ACIDOSIS

You might know Ben Katzman from the 46th season of Survivor or from his other band Ben Katzman’s DeGreaser. Now you know him as the dude that shreds in AcidosisKatzman‘s high school band that has since been resurrected for maximum thrash goodness.

Acidosis is now streaming “They Live!”, originally written when frontman Katzman was in the 10th grade and which revisits themes that have only grown more relevant with time – tech overlords, political and corporate corruption, and the manipulation of the masses. It also fucking shreds big time, which is a nice bonus.

“This song has always been about resistance and attitude – about seeing through the illusion of your given narrative,” said Katzman. “Recording it now, decades later, felt like reclaiming a part of myself that got buried under labels and expectations.”

He continued: “This isn’t just nostalgia. It’s about rediscovering the reason I started making noise in the first place – to push back, to say something that matters to me in whichever manner.”

Check it out below alongside the artwork done by Juan Montoya (Moon Destroys, ex-Torche) and logo by Perry Shall (The Black Keys, Green Day, etc.). You can also catch Acidosis playing November 14 at City Winery in Boston and December 4 at the Goldfish Lounge in Los Angeles!
