Another Delay: SLIPKNOT Supposedly Set To Release Look Outside Your Window In 2026

Another year of not hearing Slipknot‘s long-awaited 2008 album Look Outside Your Window is in the book, baby!

According to Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan in a recent Discord Q&A, Look Outside Your Window is coming in 2026 for sure: “Lets start with LOYW, i know I told everyone it would be this year. I’m very sorry its hasnt been. Things come to play that change things all the time with the art we create. I want you to know 2026 is the year. It’s just simply time and I’m just getting tired of waiting myself. Have faith. I promise.”

For those unaware, Slipknot recorded two albums way back in 2008 – All Hope Is Gone, which got released; and the unreleased album Look Outside Your Window featuring vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Jim Root, percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, and DJ Sid Wilson.

Look Outside Your Window has been promised numerous times over the years, with 2024 absolutely being the year it was coming out and then 2025 also being the year it was absolutely coming out. I’d say prepare yourselves because it sounds like Look Outside Your Window is imminent, but it’s also seemed to be that way since 2019. All hail the eternal Slipknot waiting machine.

As for how the record sounds, Taylor said way back in 2019 that it sounds like Radiohead. Which honestly sounds kind of awesome?

“We’ve been trying to find a way to release those songs for God knows how long,” said Taylor in an interview with Eddie Trunk. “They were actually something that we were recording… We had two different studios going on. And one group of guys was recording what ended up becoming Look Outside Your Window, and then the bulk of the band was making All Hope Is Gone.

“The stuff from Look Outside Your Window is really, really — I mean, there’s no real way to describe it. It’s experimental, but it’s super vibey, super melodic. It’s really good. It’s hard to explain. There’s something about those songs. They’re very solemn, very energetic, very artistic. For people who are used to a certain way of Slipknot sounding, this doesn’t sound anything like that. It’s much more of a rock vibe. Honestly, it’s much more of a Radiohead vibe, to be honest.”
