Archspire – the world’s most Archspire band you can ever want – is back with their new record Too Fast To Die, due out on April 10. Archspire is living up to that new with a new single called “Carrion Ladder”, which in my mind has immediately become “Carrying Ladder” and will likely not change anytime soon.
The track arrives alongside an official music video, directed by the band’s own Dean Lamb and Oliver Rae Aleron. On the single and video, Aleron comments: “What’s that, ARCHSPIRE is newly single??? OH ARCHSPIRE’s NEW single!!
“After 4 years of hard work, dedication, evading police, evidence tampering, espionage, supreme court rulings, rico charges and AA meetings, we’re finally able to present to our few remaining fans a brand-new music video for our first single ‘Carrion Ladder’ off of our upcoming album TOO FAST TO DIE. Please enjoy with the whole family this holiday season! (No moms were injured in the making of this film)”
In 2025, Archspire announced their new drummer, Spencer Moore, marking a shift in the band’s trajectory and in Moore‘s practice routine: “I had to step my game up fast to pull off the new material,” said Moore. “But once we started tracking, everything felt comfortable and natural.”
Recorded in 2025, Too Fast To Die reunites the band with world-renowned producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis) for the third time. They locked themselves inside his Denver studio for several months, cutting out distractions and dedicating themselves entirely to the record.
This is also the first Archspire record to be done completely independently, thanks to a very successful crowdfunding campaign. Which of course some people were kinda shitty about.
Anyway, Too Fast To Die. Pre-orders are available here.
