In late December 2025, a screenshot (archived) circulated online purportedly showing that U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that the “Trans Siberian Orchestra has exactly 24 days to figure out if they are male or female Siberian orchestra.”
The alleged post also appeared to show him saying that he told Santa Claus to give girls two dolls each for Christmas each because “that’s how much” he loves “little girls.”
One Facebook user who shared the image said: “If you tell me this isn’t real I will stab myself in the eyeballs.”
The supposed screengrab read, in all caps:
No more men playing women’s sports and no more trans Christmas rock bands either!! Trans Siberian Orchestra has exactly 24 days to figure out if they are male or female Siberian Orchestra!! We don’t want our kids listening to trans Christmas music!! I just talked to Santa and I told him to hit America first this year and give every little girl two dolls!! That’s how much I love little girls!! I’m just crazy about em!! And you know what he said? He said “Yes Sir, Mr President and thanks again for all your wonderful tariffs!! Your tariffs saved Christmas!!” Thank you for your attention to this matter!! Make Christmas Music Great Again!!
Numerous Facebook users shared the screenshot and it also appeared on X (archived, archived, archived), while Snopes readers also searched our site to see whether the president wrote the message.
There was, however, no evidence the image showed an authentic Trump Truth Social post. Searches of Trump’s Truth, a website that archives posts on the president’s social media feed, uncovered no posts including the words “Siberian” or “Orchestra” on his Truth Social profile in late November or early December 2025.
Rather, the purported screenshot originated from a Facebook user called Michael E Sparks, who labeled the original post (archived) with “satire,” “comedy” and “humor” hashtags. He also added a watermark reading “JDTRUMPPUTINMUSK” in the bottom right corner of the screenshot, though that was not visible in some posts featuring the claim.
The watermark was visible in a number of Sparks’ posts elsewhere on Facebook (archived, archived, archived) that similarly showed satirical Trump Truth Social posts. His Facebook Intro (archived) also included a link to a website called “jdtrumputinmusk.com,” but it was not live at the time of publication.
Snopes reached out to Sparks about the screenshot, and we await a reply.
‘Truth Social’ post was fake
Aside from the original post being labelled as satire, the screenshot itself did not resemble authentic posts on Truth Social, which always use the same font for the username, text and engagement data and which include the date and time of the post in the bottom right corner. Sparks’ satirical screenshot omitted the date and time and featured a post text font that was different from other elements.Â
The username, profile picture and engagement numbers were also blurred in the screenshot, while the post text was not. This does not occur in authentic Truth Social posts, which indicated that the elements could have been stitched together by the person who created the image.
Though the screenshot used the correct username and profile picture for Trump on Truth Social, it omitted the president’s Truth Plus subscription badge next to his name on the platform.
Real Trans-Siberian Orchestra isn’t transgender
Though the post was fake, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a real Christmas-themed progressive rock band with many members. It tours simultaneously throughout the U.S., though there was no evidence that all of the members were transgender or from Siberia, a region in Russia.
The band’s founder, Paul O’Neill, said on its website that he drew inspiration for the name during a trip to Russia in the 1980s.
Despite this, social media users have long joked about whether the members of the band were in fact transgender (archived, archived, archived).Â
Though this particular post was satire, Trump’s administration has repeatedly targeted transgender people with policy decisions during his second term.
For further reading, Snopes previously investigated a fake video that purportedly showed Trump saying that transgender people “don’t exist.” We also looked into the origins of persistent allegations about him raping underage girls and debunked fake images seemingly showing the president with minors.
For background, here is why we alert readers to rumors created by sources that call their output humorous or satirical.
