In 2022, Boy Harsher wrote, directed, edited, and composed a short film called The Runner, whose soundtrack remains a true electronic gem. Now, the duo of Augustus Muller and Jae Matthews is getting ready to release their first feature film The Lonely Woman, an erotic thriller that stars FKA twigs, Sturgill Simpson, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and Chloë Sevigny.
The synopsis in the press release reads, “An unnerving, sensual and atmospheric horror-thriller set in the forgotten corners of rural New England, THE LONELY WOMAN follows a woman marked by her first love’s death in a mountain tunnel. Drawn into the mystery of a new disappearance, she finds herself confronting a seductive and terrifying presence buried beneath the town.”
Production recently wrapped up in Upstate New York. It’s slated to debut next year.
