Reunited, and it feels so good!
On Wednesday (Dec. 3), Jimin and Jung Kook of the Billboard chart-topping BTS premiered the first two episodes of the second season of their hit travel reality series Are You Sure?! Now streaming on Disney+, the two new episodes find the duo reuniting one week after completing their military service; both stars enlisted on Dec. 12, 2023, and were formally discharged earlier this year (June 11). As they begin their 12-day journey from Switzerland to Vietnam, Jimin and Jung Kook immerse themselves in local scenes and cultures, the beauty of nature, and a slew of surprises and thrills.
Season 2 of Are You Sure?! will consist of eight episodes, with two episodes dropping every Wednesday through Christmas Eve (Dec. 24). In the show’s first season, Jimin and Jung Kook explored iconic spots like New York, Jeju Island and Sapporo.
A new season of Are You Sure?! also means that ARMY is one step closer to BTS’ official reunion. While no official plans have been announced yet, Jimin and Jung Kook will soon reunite with Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope and V for what’s expected to be the group’s first studio album since 2020’s Be, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 and spawned the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite.”
Though it’s been half a decade since the group’s last LP, each member has made their stamp as a soloist in the 2020s. Jimin hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with both of his solo albums (2023’s Face and 2024’s Muse), while Jung Kook reached the same position with his debut album (2023’s Golden). Both Jimin and Jung Kook have also topped the Hot 100 as soloists, with “Like Crazy” and “Seven” (with Latto), respectively.
The most recent update on the iconic group’s reunion came from RM’s November Weverse post, in which he wrote, “the music is coming out really well!!”
