Yup, the internet was right. Leon Kennedy is in Resident Evil Requiem. That leaked earlier this week. The bigger news, which was revealed at the Game Awards 2025, is that he’s fully playable in the upcoming sequel.
Here’s the new gameplay trailer for Resident Evil Requiem that features our first look at the new, older, gruffer Leon. And yes, poor Leon has to fight another scary enemy with a chainsaw. He has the worst luck!
In the new trailer, we see Leon investigating some dead bodies and other creepy goings-on, which are connected to Grace Ashcroft’s storyline.
Geoff said during the reveal that Leon’s segments will be more action-packed in contrast to Grace’s more traditional survival horror gameplay, and everything we see here seems to back that up, with Leon pulling off finishers and blasting away enemies like it’s Resident Evil 4 all over again. I’m not complaining!
