It ain’t new Chimaira, but it’s close! According to Chimaira vocalist Mark Hunter, a new compilation collecting old B-sides and rarities called Creepers Vol. 1 is coming on October 31. Vol. 1 collects material from between 2011 and 2014 – or the Age of Hell through Crown of Phantoms era – and runs as follows:
- “Year Of The Snake” (Dubba Jonny Mix)
- “Your Days Are Numbered”
- “Scum Of The Earth”
- “Clockwork” (Hunter Mix)
- “New Apocalypse”
- “The Dehumanizing Process” (2013 Slow And Low Mix)
- “Outshined” (Soundgarden cover)
- “Wild Thing” (The Troggs cover)
“We’ve been working to bring you streaming versions of some of our rarest B-sides,” said Hunter. “Back in the day the A-side was the hit single and the B-side was the ‘extra content” – experimental songs, non-album tracks, or covers. Usually, they sucked. Sometimes you’d get a ‘Breadfan’ or ‘God Save the Queen’, but let’s not kid ourselves – you’re not getting that here. These are the songs that didn’t make our albums for a reason.
“But if surviving the cutting room floor is a badge of honor, these tracks wear it proudly. Some fans love them. Others think we were right to bury them. Most didn’t know they existed.”
