In March, Cootie Catcher released their sophomore effort Shy At First, which earned them a spot on our list of the best new artists of the year. Now the Toronto indie-pop band is already announcing its followup called Something We All Got. “Straight Drop” is out now.
“This one came from frustration of being vulnerable in the ‘wrong’ places,” singer-bassist Anita Fowl explains. “I can fully have a cry in front of strangers while taking the bus but then clam up when I’m in front of people I’m close with. That generally parallels my experience performing live, where I’m so unsure in person but can get so much out on stage.”
