Feeling blue? Maybe you’d prefer Cerulean. The latest album from esteemed DJ/producer and hyperpop pioneer Danny L Harle is coming in February. Although 2021’s Harlecore was sort of his first album, Harle says of Cerulean, “This is my debut album. It really is the big one.”
He says he sought out “the best melodies sung by the best voices” this time around, and the guest list is as exciting as you’d expect from a new Harle project. Longtime pal Caroline Polachek is on there via the recent single “Azimuth” and one other song, “On & On.” The PinkPantheress collab “Starlight” also made the cut. Others on the tracklist include Clairo, Julia Michaels, and kacha. Harle’s own daughters are on there too. And on today’s new single “Crystallise My Tears,” Harle presents a convergence of Oklou and MNEK.
