Earlier this year, duendita, a New York artist whose music fits into no particular genre bucket, released the album-length project a strong desire to survive and then followed it with the singles “piel,” “bassline,” and “big one.” Today, duendita drops another new track.
“uplifted one,” duendita’s latest single, is an extremely brief but ecstatic piece of music. It’s less than a minute and a half long, but it doesn’t need more time than that to establish a fizzy, euphoric feeling. The music is soulfully skittering indie-pop, presented without frills.
