GHOST Teases A Meeting Between FRATER IMPERATOR & PAPA V PERPETUA, Announces Likely End Of Tour

Ghost is back with the 23rd chapter of their story and it largely revolves around Frater Imperator (formerly Papa Emeritus IV and Cardinal Copia) getting a visit from his now-deceased mother, Sister Imperator.

The video also doubles as a music video for the Skeletá track “Cenotaph”, and even hints at a meeting between Frater Imperator and Papa V Perpetua. Which isn’t shocking considering a meeting between Frater Imperator and Papa V Perpetua was originally hinted at in May, so we’ll see what happens!

One eagled-eyed viewer also noticed a poster in the above video stating that Ghost‘s current Skeletour world tour appears to be ending on February 23, 2026 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. No word on what the plans are for Ghost between the end of the tour and a potential meeting between the brothers, but I’m sure we’ll get another lore video between then and now.

If that’s true, get the remaining dates for Skeletour below and get your tickets here.

Speaking of Ghost, their new record Skeletá was clearly pretty damn popular, as it became the first rock record to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart since since AC/DC‘s Power Up in 2020. Skeletá moved 86,000 units in its first week, which is especially impressive considering 77,000 of those units were physical media sales – even crazier, 44,000 of those units were vinyl sales.

Skeletá also landed at No. 1 on the U.S. Album, Vinyl Album, Indie Store Album, Independent Album, Rock Album, Rock and Alternative Album, and Hard Rock Album charts. Internationally, the album bowed at No. 1 in Sweden Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Finland; No. 2 in the UK, Netherlands and Norway; No. 4 in France; and No. 6 in Ireland.
