Last month Ulrika Spacek shared “Build A Box Then Break It,” their first single since their previous studio album Compact Trauma arrived in 2023. Now the artsy, shoegazey English band are following up that song with “Square Root Of None,” along with the news that their next LP EXPO is coming in February.
Blending digital with analog is a big part of the Ulrika Spacek formula, and you can hear that on “Square Root Of None.” It begins with a glitchy introduction before some restless drums and wiry guitars take over, with plenty of mathematical references in the mix: “I’m in a strange loop of zero/ A time shift, a post-script/ A hard thing to decode.” Listen to the song and see the full EXPO tracklist below.
