Ask anyone who knows me, and they’ll tell you I’m obsessed with home fragrance. I can’t even begin to recount all the candles I’ve burned and oils I’ve diffused, or how much incense I’ve lit in my day (it’s a lot). Because of this, I had a cursory awareness of Aroma360, the fragrance company that makes high-end diffusers and scented oils — the same ones used in some of the world’s most luxurious hotels and spas. When I got the chance to take the brand’s Mini Pro Scent Diffuser for a test run, I was all in.
The Mini Pro Scent Diffuser normally costs $300, which is more than I’ve ever paid for a home fragrance … ever. So the fact that you can score one for only $50 during the brand’s Black Friday sale is a huge deal. Before you do, I put it to the test to see if it’s truly worth it (spoiler alert: It is).
What Is the Aroma360 Mini Pro Diffuser Starter Kit?
It’s essentially the Mercedes-Benz of home fragrance diffusers. The water-less, heat-less design uses cold air diffusion to release a dry nano-mist of the brand’s Pro-Pod fragrance oils (which range from $20-$50 each). Aroma360 has dozens to choose from — many of which are inspired by fancy hotels they’ve worked with. The Pro-Pod is designed to be inserted directly into the diffuser, which gives you about a month’s worth of fragrance. No spills, no residue — and they’re pet-safe, too.
At just under a foot tall, the small but mighty diffuser can scent a space of up to 600 square feet and claims to be totally silent while doing so. What’s more, the included remote gives you full control of the scent intensity. Its pillar form features a sleek metallic finish and comes in six different colors, so it looks as high-end as it smells.
Why I Love the Aroma360 Mini Pro Diffuser
The scents smell incredibly luxe. I tested the “My Way” fragrance pod, which features notes of sandalwood, cedar, and iris. The scent is an Aroma360 bestseller and is actually inspired by the 1 Hotel. Despite my never having stayed there, I’m going to go ahead and say the brand nailed it — the scent smells lush, sophisticated, and, let’s face it, incredibly bougie.
It’s only been a couple of days, so I can’t speak to the longevity of the pods just yet. However, I can say that even on the diffuser’s low-intensity setting the fragrance fills my bedroom and even spills out into my living room, so it’s perfectly suited to small apartments.
The Mini Pro Diffuser also seems to be more efficient than other diffusers I’ve tried. Instead of diffusing a constant mist, it diffuses periodically throughout the day (the higher the scent intensity, the more frequently it mists). It’s not exactly silent (it sounds a touch above whisper volume), which would concern me if the machine was misting non-stop, but it’s not. In fact, I barely notice it now.
What I do notice, though, is the Mini Pro’s ultra-modern appearance. Its sleek cylindrical body and metallic finish ooze fanciness and adding a cool edge to my bedroom dresser without taking up much space or calling too much attention.
If you’re a fragrance-lover like I am, I think you’ll love the Mini Pro diffuser and Aroma360’s extensive library of scent options. And if you’ve ever walked into a hotel lobby and lusted after the scent, this is how you get it at home.
