Lily Allen appeared out of nowhere in October with her first album in seven years, West End Girl, a conceptual narrative pop song cycle that goes into brutal detail about the end of her marriage to actor David Harbour. She’s since announced a tour of the UK and been confirmed for SNL, and this week she released the album on a USB drive shaped like a butt plug. Now she’s revealed plans to bring West End Girl to North America in a more extensive way.
In April, Allen will perform the new album in eight venues across the United States, as well as one in Canada. According to a press release, “The show – Lily Allen Performs West End Girl – will see the singer/songwriter play her brand-new album in its entirety, in the order the songs appear on the record.” It’s billed as her biggest tour to date.
Registration for her artist presale is open now and continues through this Monday, Dec. 8 at 11 p.m. ET. The presale runs from Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, Dec. 11, at 10 p.m. local time, with general onsale starting Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
