Sticking Together: Approaches to Collage & Assemblage (U.S.)
Artlink invites submissions from artists who are stepping into the division of our times by creating work that uses both fragmentation and combination as crucial strategies for new ways of seeing and thinking. For Sticking Together, artists are encouraged to think broadly about the various ways collage, assemblage, and other processes of combination are evidenced in their work. Work will be on view at Artlink in Fort Wayne from February 19 to March 15, 2026. There is a $12 application fee.

GLEAM | 2026 Request for Proposals (International)
Olbrich Botanical Gardens invites proposals for temporary, light-based installations for GLEAM, Art in a New Light, a public art exhibition situated within a 16-acre Midwest landscape or a 10,000-square-foot tropical conservatory. The 2026 exhibition focuses on concepts presenting a captivating environment, offering play experiences, and illuminating creatures of all shapes and sizes, real and imaginative. GLEAM will be open for public viewing from August 29 to October 24.

Royal Society of British Artists’ RBA Annual Exhibition 2026 (International)
The Royal Society of British Artists invites artists of all backgrounds to submit works in various media, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, and drawing, for the RBA Annual Exhibition 2026. There is a submission fee of £20 per work, or £14 per work for artists aged 35 or under. The fee includes admission to the exhibition, from February 26 to March 7 at Mall Galleries in London.

The Other Art Fair Chicago Spring 2026 (International)
From April 9 to 12, 2026, The Other Art Fair returns to Chicago and seeks applications for general booths, the New Futures program—which awards a free booth space to an early-career artist—and Artisan Edit, which provides space for artists making decorative work in glass, ceramic, metal, or wood mediums.

World Press Photo 2026 Contest (International)
The annual World Press Photo Contest recognizes and celebrates the best photojournalism and documentary photography produced over the last year. Entering is free, and prizes include up to €11,000, inclusion in the World Press Photo annual traveling exhibition, and more.

Evolving Freedoms: Exploring Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness (U.S.)
How do we define freedom in the 21st century? This open call seeks artists whose work reflects on the ever-shifting meaning of freedom in today’s world. Photographers and print-based artists are invited to submit.

The Other Art Fair Brooklyn Spring 2026 (International)
From May 14 to 17, 2026, The Other Art Fair returns to Brooklyn and seeks applications for general booths and the New Futures program, which awards a free booth space to an early-career artist.

2026 World of WearableArt Competition (International)
The 2026 sections for the world’s leading wearable art competition include Kinetic, Metallic, and Bizarre Bra, alongside the annual sections of Aotearoa, Open, and Avant-garde. Designers are encouraged to focus on original storytelling and meticulous construction. Individuals or teams
consisting of two or three designers are welcome to enter.

Hasselblad Masters 2026 Competition (International)
Hasselblad is looking for great images and unique visions for the Hasselblad Masters 2026 competition. Photographers can submit images made with any camera from any brand, digital or film, and any frame size. The winner receives a Hasselblad X2D II 100C camera, two XCD Series lenses, and a creative fund of €5,000. Selected photographers will have the opportunity to be published in the Hasselblad Masters book.

Doan Foundation Roots & Resilience Artist Grant (Southern California)
The Roots & Resilience Artist Grant Program is an initiative dedicated to supporting artists, photographers, and creatives whose work explores themes of cultural heritage, community strength, and resilience. This grant will provide six artists or arts and culture organizations from Southern California with $1,000 each to bring to life impactful projects that address social issues, mental health, uplift underrepresented voices, and community.
Deadline: January 2, 2026.
Artists & Mothers Grant (New York City)
Artists & Mothers is committed to supporting artists who identify as mothers at an inflection point in their careers. Eligible to New York City-based artists with children under the age of three, awardees will receive a grant of $25,000 to be used for childcare expenses with the provider of their choice.

Walker Youngbird Foundation Emerging Native Arts Grant (U.S.)
The Emerging Native Arts Grant is a cornerstone initiative of the Walker Youngbird Foundation, created to support early-career Native artists who are honoring tradition while boldly shaping the future of contemporary Indigenous art. Awarded twice annually, the $15,000 grant provides funding, mentorship, and a curated showcase to artists at a critical stage in their development, offering resources and visibility emerging artists need to take bold next steps in their creative journeys.

Arts Projects Grants for Individuals or Groups (Western Australia)
The program supports the development and growth of a vibrant sector that promotes the participation and active engagement of Western Australian communities in high-quality arts and cultural experiences. Grants range from AUD$5,000 to $80,000 for artists and creative professionals.

Nice Art Grant for Midwest Early and Mid-Career Artists (U.S. Midwest)
The Nice Art Grant is an artist grant provided by Midwest Nice Art. Nice Grant is an annual unrestricted grant of $500 that supports emerging and mid-career artists. Each cycle, at least two artists will be selected to enhance their creative practices. Winners will receive unrestricted grant funds, a blog profiling their art and creative practice, a post pinned to Midwest Nice Art’s profile, and consideration for future jurying and curatorial opportunities.

Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artist Grants (Australia)
The Ian Potter Cultural Trust runs funding rounds through which individual artists based in Australia can apply for grants of up to AUD$15,000. The Trust supports artists working across the spectrum of the arts, from traditional art forms to experimental mediums.
Deadline: 5 p.m. AEDT on January 20, 2026.
Dallas Museum of Art Awards for Artists (Texas & surrounding region)
Dallas Museum of Art offers three separate grants. The Clare Hart DeGolyer Memorial Fund awards up to $1,500 for artists between the ages of 15 and 25 who reside in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. The Otis and Velma Davis Dozier Travel Grant, up to $6,000, is awarded to professional artists over the age of 30 who reside in Texas. And the Arch and Ann Giles Kimbrough Fund awards up to $3,500 to artists under the age of 30 who reside in Texas.

Spector Craft Prize for Emerging Artists (U.S.)
The Spector Craft Prize for Emerging Artists annually honors five early-career artists with seven years or less of studio practice. Each recipient is recognized through a $10,000 financial award, mentorship opportunities, participation in the Spector Craft Conference (to be held at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in November 2026), and professional network development. Disciplines include ceramics, textiles, woodworking, glass, metalwork, basketry, and paper arts.

The Adolf and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant (International)
This program provides one-time financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs resulted from an unforeseen catastrophic incident and who lack the resources to meet that situation. Awardees typically receive $5,000 and up to $15,000.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (International)
The foundation welcomes applications from painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper, including printmakers. Grants are intended for one year and range up to $50,000. The artist’s circumstances determine the size of the grant, and professional exhibition history will be considered.

Residencies, Fellowships, & More
Yaddo Residencies (International)
Yaddo offers residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following disciplines: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Artists apply individually. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board, and a studio. There is a $35 application fee.

Glen Arbor Arts Center 2026 Artist-in-Residence (International)
The Glen Arbor Arts Center offers several opportunities for artist residencies each year. The purpose of the residency program is to provide visiting artists with a respite from daily responsibilities to enable them to concentrate on their work. Housing and studio access are provided free of charge. Artists, musicians, and writers working in a range of mediums may apply for residencies that last two weeks. There is a $35 application fee.

Powerhouse Arts 2026 Artist Subsidy Program (New York City)
The Artist Subsidy Program is designed to subsidize fabrication services for New York City–based artists facing financial barriers in realizing their projects. Artists receive subsidized labor costs for fabrication services, including materials, up to $10,000 in one of six shops, which include a variety of print shops, ceramics and sculpture, paper and textiles, and public art.

Rome Residency in Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture (U.K. and Commonwealth)
The British School at Rome, in partnership with the Bridget Riley Art Foundation, invites applications from exceptional early- to mid-career artists who live in the U.K. or its Commonwealth countries and work in painting, drawing, or sculpture for a six-month residency from September 2026 to March 2027.

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts Residencies (U.S.)
The Arrowmont Artists-in-Residence Program provides early-career, self-directed artists time, space, and support to experiment and develop a new body of work. Each year, five artists working in different media are selected to participate in the eleven-month program, which begins at the end of June and continues through the end of May of the following year. Artists are given a monthly stipend, shared housing with private bedrooms, meals (during workshop sessions), and a private well-lit studio with climate control, a basic worktable, shelving, and a sink. There is a $25 application fee.

Gasworks London Residency for Palestinian Artists (International)
This residency open call is for emerging and mid-career Palestinian artists based anywhere in the world. The eleven-week, fully funded residency will take place at Gasworks in London from July 7 to September 22, 2026.

Artist Residency at The Watermill Center (International)
The Watermill Center provides artists with the time, space, and freedom to develop their practice in a communal environment that encourages experimentation. There are no fees to participate. Residents are responsible for living expenses such as food, travel to and from Watermill in Water Mill, New York, and other production expenses. Watermill Center will provide a modest stipend to offset these expenses. There is a $12 application fee.

Riding Mountain National Park Residency (Manitoba)
This residency, organized by the Manitoba Arts Council, provides professional artists with funding and time to focus on their work in the beautiful natural setting of Riding Mountain National Park. The grant is CAD$2,500, and two-week residencies run from June through September. Applicants must be Canadian citizens and have lived in Manitoba for at least a year.

Montello Foundation Residencies (International)
The artist residency in northeastern Nevada at the Montello Foundation is meant to be a retreat from the urban environment. The foundation provides a solitary experience where artists can immerse themselves in the desert landscape from within a safe, unique space. The program is free for participants. There is a $20 application fee.

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS Photographer in Residence (International)
The Photographer in Residence program is a one-month-long photography residency taking place inside an Airstream trailer converted into a darkroom. Analog photographers and photography-based artists have exclusive access to process film and make new work. Residents receive a $1,500 artist stipend; darkroom chemistry, film, and photo paper; the option to host a public program, and more.

Weir Farm National Historic Park Artist-in-Residence (U.S.)
Weir Farm NHP in Connecticut invites applications from artists representing a wide range of perspectives and media. Graduate and doctoral students and emerging and professional artists aged 25+ at the time of application may apply. The Friends of Weir Farm will provide a stipend. Artists live in the park in a furnished cottage and have full access to a purpose-built Artist Studio. There is a $35 application fee.

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft Residency (International)
Artists are awarded three-to-twelve-month residencies with 24/7 access to studio space, cultural and professional development opportunities, a $1,000 monthly stipend that includes a small housing/materials allowance, and the opportunity to give an artist talk.
