Let’s be honest here – Roger Waters has a long history of being a prick in interviews. Waters did exactly that during an August 12 interview with The Independent Ink, where he expressed his dislike of Ozzy Osbourne less than one month after his death.
Waters was originally touching on how the media was covering elebrity news instead of Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn‘s politics, and then launched into this beauty: “In whatever state he was in his whole life. We’ll never know, although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense,” said Waters.
“The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a fuck. I don’t care about Black Sabbath. I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
Now the Osbourne family has launched a new shirt of Ozzy taking a rainbow leak on Pink Floyd‘s The Wall, with the back saying “OZZY RULES” below Waters‘ name. Just so there’s no confusion here – the Osbourne‘s are pissed. No pun intended, sort of. You can grab the shirt here.
Oh, and as for Waters‘ comments, Ozzy‘s son Jack Osbourne responded when the quotes were reported saying: “Hey Roger Waters. Fuck You. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press. My father always thought you were a cunt – thanks for proving him right.”
