Legendary metal producer Dave Otero, the driving force behind Flatline Audio Studio in Denver, CO, may be adding another major project to his already stacked résumé.
For those unaware, Otero has produced such records as A Void Within Existence by Abigail Williams, The Ossuary Lens by Allegaeon, Big Trouble by Coffin Feeder, Xenotaph by Fallujah, and that’s only a selection of his 2025 works. Dude’s also been involved with bands like Archspire, Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis, and way more over the years.
In addition to working his ass off at Flatline Audio, Otero also seems to be teasing his own festival called Flatline Fest. Not much is known about Flatline Fest at the moment outside that it’s set to take place between June 13 and 14, 2026 somewhere in Colorado (the Facebook page says it’s located in Denver). Beyond dates and a rough location, details remain scarce: no lineup, venue, or ticket information has been announced yet.
On the festival, Otero only commented briefly on his social media, saying: “I’ve been putting a lot of work into something behind the scenes that will be announced soon. For now, please follow [this Facebook page and this Instagram page]”.
