Sanguisugabogg generally finds themselves in headlines for one of two things – their actual artistry or some dumb bullshit. This time it’s the latter.
Sanguisugabogg has publicly accused streetwear brand Revenge of stealing their logo for a jacket design without their consent. The jacket is set to go on sale come October 31, or at least it was at the time of this publication – who knows what’s going on behind the scenes with this one.
“(For record, they took our logo without any of us knowing.. a huge street wear company big in hip hop seen on games like gta v),” wrote Sanguisugabogg on their Instagram. “Damn we got the unofficial @revenge x @sanguisugaboggband collab before GTA 6. Next time tag us..”
Sanguisugabogg drummer Cody Davidson further added in the comments section: “thanks for asking to use our logo i guess? tf?”; while guitarist and bassist Drew Arnold was a little more blunt: “Send us a check”.
The craziest part of this whole thing is that the Sanguisugabogg logo is a big ol’ splattery thing – which isn’t a shot at the design itself, but I’m just saying that Revenge could’ve literally used any other big ol’ splattery thing they designed and they’d be good to go. How hard is that?
Sanguisugabogg later elaborated in a second post: “HALLOWEEN FRIDAY. @revenge do the right thing.. stop stealing from bands and stop stealing from artists.”
“As if you needed it already.. swipe to see how they blatantly took our logo and are gonna upcharge a bunch of people on literally the most trash anarchy letterman jacket design. Could have just hit us up it would have been sick to see Young Thug rocking some official merch.”
