Last year, the masked, anonymous, post-Ghost British quasi-metal duo Sleep Token merited a great deal of discussion in Eli Enis’ great Stereogum piece about the new class of stadium-metal acts. Since then, Sleep Token have had a banner year. They scored their first-ever #1 album with Even In Arcadia. They landed three songs on the Hot 100. They’re first-time Grammy nominees. And now, their debut coloring book is upon us.
There is only one completely official Sleep Token coloring book this holiday season, and it’s apparently two years in development. This particular tome, The Official Sleep Token Colouring Book, comes to us from Rock N’ Roll Colouring, which has previously done books for acts like Iron Maiden, Motörhead, and Cannibal Corpse. That’s quite a niche!
Stereogum boss Scott Lapatine would like to note that the Sleep Token book would “be a funny White Elephant gift.” But don’t worry, the Stereogum staff has no tradition of Christmas gift exchanges. Nobody’s getting stuck with The Official Sleep Token Colouring Book.
