SOL INVICTO (CYPRESS HILL, DEFTONES) Releases New Song, “Tokyo Nights”

Sol Invicto‘s Richie Londres announced on October 25th that the supergroup would be releasing a new track “EVERY FRIDAY” as “part of a new initiative called, Vault Of Shadows – A collection of ideas and songs for which there is no obvious place.” Elaborating alongside the release of the first single in the initiative, “You Can’t Come Back,” Londres said, ““Exclusively on Bandcamp, not on any streaming services. The folder/album is a work in progress, so will be constantly changing and updated. This concept will eventually migrate back to the private music members club but only once things are consistent, operational and sustainable. It will be on a pay what you want basis as each track is released.”

And the fourth release of Vault Of Shadows, “Tokyo Nights,” dropped this past Friday, a collective effort from Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill), Dan Foord (SikTh), Stephen Carpenter (Deftones), and Richie Londres that taps into that abstract industrial post-metal sound they’ve been chipping away at. But, it appears that you can stream the single, and the past three singles, for free.

Technically active since the late 2000s, Sol Invicto has maintained a certain exclusivity due to the introduction of their ‘private members association,’ in which only they could listen to the music Sol Invicto was working on, rather than the entire general public having access. It’ll be interesting to see if they do end up migrating back to their ‘private members’ approach.

You can check out the new single below.
