Surprise! It’s time for new Yellow Eyes. The band just released the follow-up to their 2023 record Master’s Murmur – titled Confusion Gate – without any prior announcement. I mean yeah, we knew Yellow Eyes was in the studio, but I kinda figured it would’ve been a 2026 release. Regardless, this record is an absolute fucking ripper and you need it.
Confusion Gate was recorded in Yelping Hill (West Cornwall, Connecticut) in June 2025. The album features saxophone from Patrick Shiroishi, additional vocals by Natasha Vasilyeva and Ralph Schmidt (Ultha), and a mix and master by the band’s own Sam Skarstad. Get it here.
