Top Highlights Of IMC 2025: Jio PC, ATM for Grains, Royal Enfield EV Bike, and More

  • I was there for two days, and in this article, I will tell you the top five things that I spotted in this year’s IMC.
  • When I asked the exhibitor for a brief, I learned that Ericsson and the World Food Programme have worked together on this grain-dispensing ATM.
  • On TCS, I saw that a particular booth was buzzing with people, and when I reached there, I was amazed.

Indian Mobile Congress is like the Comic Con of the Tech industry, all the companies show up with their latest innovations, ideas, and government projects for the world to see. Furthermore, the indian government went all out with IMC, a new and bigger venue, four hundred plus exhibitors, and more than 120 countries participated. Now, all these numbers are great, but the real reason you should attend IMC is the innovations and latest technologies you can witness firsthand. I was there for two days, and in this article, I will tell you the top five things that I spotted in this year’s IMC.

1. Jio PC

Jio had one of the biggest booths, and they showcased a lot of cutting-edge tech. Most of which was into cloud computing. However, thier Jio PC caught my eye, they had showcased it last year as well, but back then it was not fully functional. This year, Jio has fixed all the kinks, and it is live for everyone to try.

Jio PC does not require any special hardware; you can access it via the Jio PC app running on your Jio set-top box. Attach a keyboard and mouse to your TV via USB-A, and you are done. The PC has 8GB of RAM and 100GB of cloud storage, and you can run your basic apps like Gmail and Chrome. There is also AI support in this PC Through Jio Workspace, you can create and edit documents using AI. In my testing, it worked decently; the AI model they are using struggles with Abbreviations, so be mindful when you prompt it. Other than that, you can also use Adobe Express on this online PC, but you will need to get a subscription for that. The base plan starts around INR 599.

2. Safety Shield in Jio Bharat Phones

I also got my hands on the Safety-first phones by Jio. These phones have some useful safety features that cater to both kids and older people. One of the noteworthy features is the Location monitoring feature, which allows you to track the phone at all times. Once you pair your Jio phone to your smartphone, you can remotely ring it or lock it. You are also able to see the battery and network of the paired Jio phone. The best part is that the Jio Bharat V4 only retails at INR 799.

3. Annapurti: Grain ATM

On the Ericsson booth, I saw a different kind of ATM that dispenses grains such as wheat and rice. When I asked the exhibitor for a brief, I learned that Ericsson and the World Food Programme have worked together on this grain-dispensing ATM. This ATM can dispense 50KG of grain in only five minutes, and you can put two different grains at the same time. Also, to authenticate your purchase, you need to put in your Ration card number and your fingerprint scan.

Annupurti has access to government servers and can find you using your Ration card number and fingerprint. There is no manual interruption in the entire process. For now, Annupurti ATM is in seven states, namely Odisha, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

4. Direct to Mobile: Tejas Networks

On TCS, I saw that a particular booth was buzzing with people, and when I reached there, I was amazed. I saw a match being broadcast on multiple devices. Even without internet or Wi-Fi, the match was still broadcast there using Tejas’s proprietary mobile content delivery, which merges broadcast and broadband networks to overcome the limitations of 4G LTE and 5G NR. The system supports various applications, including HD video, emergency alerts, firmware updates, and educational content, and is compatible with Android phones, ATSC 3.0 TVs, and other devices.

3. 📺✨ Watch TV & Listen to Radio – No SIM, No Wi-Fi, No Data Needed!

Thanks to D2M (Direct-to-Mobile) tech, you can now stream live TV and radio directly on your phone, totally offline! 🚀

The chips that can handle this transmission are being used in two major OEMs. Lava and HMD are the two brands that are the first to use this technology in thier devices.

5. Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea

While I was at the Qualcomm booth, something caught my eye. When I went a bit closer, I saw a Royal Enfield. Not just any Royal Enfield, thier first EV bike, yes, Royal Enfield already has it in production and this will be released in the first quarter of 2026. The bike is called Flying Flea, and rightly so, the body and design are so sleek, unlike your regular Enfieled bikes, and it also promises a much lighter body. So that is a stark difference from the rest of the line-up. There will be a Qualcomm chip within the bike powering all its smart functions. At this point, they were not disclosing any numbers, be it battery capacity or the range, but the price is expected to be close to INR 4,00,000. So not for your average consumer.

Final Thoughts

This year’s IMC was on a bigger scale, and I witnessed a lot of great technology. All the products that I have discussed are my personal favorites out of the entire lot. One thing I noticed was that a lot of the tech shared was the same as last year, with some or no changes at all. AI was the common factor across all the exhibitions, and we can expect some great things in the coming year.
