Travis Scott has been shut out at the Grammy Awards for his 10 nominations throughout his career, but he’s not going to give up the chance to hoist a Grammy trophy on stage anytime soon.

The Houston native responded to a Nov. 7 post on X naming him as one of the surprising rappers who don’t have a Grammy victory just yet. “This will change for me one day. Jus wait,” he replied on Saturday (Nov. 8).
Scott hasn’t been shy about his hopes of becoming a Grammy Award winner one day. While other artists have boycotted the Grammys after winless nights, La Flame has continued to double down on his plans to keep going until the Recording Academy can’t deny him any longer.
Scott’s first Grammy nominations as a lead artist came with 2018’s Astroworld and Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “SICKO MODE.” He celebrated the noms in late 2018 by showing off a Grammy Awards duffel bag he’d been using to travel.
“Thank u record academy it’s took a whole 24hrs for it to really hit me. Plus this has Also been my duffle all year,” he wrote at the time to X.
At that point, it felt like Scott’s best chance to win a Grammy Award in 2019, following the commercial success and critical acclaim of Astroworld.
However, La Flame ended up losing out to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy. His disappointment in the moment at the award show was included in his Look Mom I Can Fly documentary, which arrived during the summer of 2019.
Scott’s most recent nomination came for best rap album at the 2024 Grammy Awards for his Utopia LP, which lost to Killer Mike’s Michael. Trav has nothing nominated for the 2026 awards.
