What Your Style Might Be Trying to Tell You (and You’ve Been Too Smart to Notice) — Inside Out Style

Understanding How Your Archetypes Influence Your Style

Have you ever stared into your wardrobe and thought, “Who even am I anymore?”

You’re not alone. That thought comes up far more often than you might imagine, not just from women going through style ruts or body changes, but from psychologists, coaches, and type practitioners.

Because style isn’t just about what you wear, it’s a mirror for your mind.

And sometimes, it’s the most unconscious parts of us that pick out our clothes each morning.

That’s why I’m excited to invite you to a brand-new live workshop I’m presenting for Bridging and Appying Personality Theories (BAAPT:

Style Archetypes: How Beebe’s Personas Shape Personal Style

Why Should You Care About Style and the Psyche?

This workshop is based on my work co-creating the 16 Style Types framework with renowned type experts Jane Kise and Jill Chivers, who led the original research that linked Myers-Briggs (Carl Jung’s Psychological Type)  type to core style values and decision-making patterns.

But we didn’t stop there.

In this session, I’ll take you deeper into the realm of Jungian archetypes, cognitive functions, and how John Beebe’s eight-function model plays out in your wardrobe.

Yes, your Hero function is likely picking your “go-to” outfit.
Your Anima might be whispering, “You’re not stylish enough to wear that…”
And the Trickster? Oh, she’s the one who convinces you to buy that flashy impulse purchase you never wear.

What You’ll Discover in This Workshop

✔️ How each of the 8 Beebe personas (Hero, Parent, Child, Anima, Opposing, Critical, Trickster, Demon) expresses itself through your clothing choices
✔️ What it means when you feel style envy, wardrobe regret, or fashion paralysis
✔️ How major life transitions – menopause, job changes, identity shifts – can activate the Demon function and collapse your style story
✔️ Why reconnecting with your wardrobe can actually help you reclaim parts of yourself you’ve ignored or judged
✔️ Tools to support clients (or yourself) in building an authentic, psychologically congruent style- no extreme makeover required

This Isn’t About Fashion. It’s About Integration.

This is not a fluff session about trends or must-have items.
It’s a deep dive into the connection between clothing and cognition, style and shadow, and how what we wear is a symbolic extension of the stories we tell ourselves—consciously or not.

You’ll walk away with insights you can use not just for your own personal expression, but also in your work as a type practitioner, coach, or guide.

If you’ve ever wondered why your style felt stuck, uncertain, or too risky to shift, this workshop will help you understand why—and what to do with that knowledge.

Come curious. Leave changed.
Not just in how you see clothes, but in how you see yourself.
