New York rapper Your Old Droog has been a prolific underground force for years, and he recently formed the duo Droogie Otis with the all-time great producer Madlib. This year, Droogie Otis released the singles “Everything Designer” with Boldy James, “The Edge” with Killer Mike, and “Woodstock 2029” with Wiz Khalifa and Jay Electronica. Now, Droog is announcing a new EP that he did not record with Madlib, and it’s coming very soon — as in, tomorrow.
Your Old Droog’s new EP Anything Is Possible arrives tomorrow, and it’s got production from Roper Williams, Khrysis, and J-es. Decades-deep underground legend Count Bass D produces and appears on “Confetti,” while DJ Statik Selektah has cuts and scratches on “No More.” Droog’s new song “Bronny” has a pretty self-explanatory title: “I’ve had sons in this game like Bronny/ And I ain’t never met they mommy/ I’m first class, you economy.” It’s got a dusky, loping beat from the great Kenny Segal. Check out “Bronny” and the Anything Is Possible EP’s tracklist below.
